Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority Invites Applications for the Position of Finance Administration Assistant

Essential Duties:

Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority, Leland, NC seeks a Finance Administrative Assistant.  This positon performs fiscal support for governmental accounting and provides administrative support to the Executive Director.  The essential duties include:  fiscal support associated with accounts payable/receivable, annual budgets, capital projects, and payroll; administrative support of the Executive Director in the daily operation of the office including reception, clerical and administrative tasks; preparation of files and reports for annual audit; preparation of Board meetings agendas and minutes; maintenance and disposal of public records in accordance with North Carolina General Statues and maintenance of the Authority’s web page.


Education Qualifications:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or business or a closely related field and increasingly responsible experience in governmental accounting and financial management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 


Knowledge and Skills Qualifications:

Necessary knowledge and skills for this position include:  knowledge of accounting principles; proficiency with computer hardware and software applications including QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and web page maintenance; office procedures and great communication and interpersonal skills are a plus.
