The Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority was started in 1970 and this is the fifty third year of existence. The Authority began supplying Raw Water in 1986 and now serves 550,000 customers through Brunswick, Pender, New Hanover and the City of Wilmington. We just finished our 54" parallel line from Kings Bluff to the Brunswick Northwest Plant and are currrently working on the first phase of the 48 inch parallel line to the Pender County Vault with phase two completing the route to the Cape Fear Public Utility Vault providing true rudundancy to the LCFWASA system.
We have in excess of 45 million dollars worth of projects in our Master Plan to assure redundancy, efficiancy and reliablity that this region depends upon. LCFWASA is the cornerstone supplying water to one of the South East's fastest growing regions. Our area is rich in tourism, business, industry and a retirement mecca that depends on a dependable water source.
Working with our partners daily to enhance infrastructure, constantly planning and protecting our source water with all available measures, we look forward to the next fifty years of prosperity, sustainabilty and stewardship of this most precious resource.
