CAPE FEAR RIVER LOCKS AND DAMS BLADEN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA SECTION 216 DISPOSITION STUDY DRAFT INTEGRATED REPORT AND ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has conducted a Cape Fear Locks and Dams – Disposition Study which has been underway for a number of years and is now complete. In the study, the Corps of Engineers has determined that the Cape Fear Locks and Dams are no longer needed to serve commercial traffic on the Cape Fear River. As a result, the Federal Government seeks to dispose of facilities and projects that no longer serve their authorized purpose of commercial navigation.
